Brief Overview:

We seek a naturally curious, passionate, and gifted researcher to contribute to our research & analytics team and help drive impact value and outcomes across our product solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • To work under the direction of the Head of Research or a person designated by him.
  • To provide assistance in conducting research activities, including planning, organizing, conducting, analyzing data and communicating research findings within the overall scope of a research project.
  • To coordinate and perform a variety of independent and team activities involved in the design, preparation, implementation, analysis, and documentation of research.
  • To lead project-related tasks including collecting and managing data (coordinating the development of forms, and questionnaires, conducting qualitative interviews), writing up research protocols, and carrying out data analysis with support from colleagues.
  • To present information on research progress and outcomes to others responsible for the research project and those outside of the research team.
  • To provide guidance as required to any support staff and/or research students assisting with the research project.
  • To contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication, writing results, and discussions relevant to the literature. Handling the submission for publication process including responding to peer reviews and revising manuscripts
  • To develop plans for research projects and to discuss the interpretation of results and the preparation of manuscripts for publication with the Chief Science Officer or person designated by him.
  • To liaise with ethics committees regarding the submission of required documentation, patient rights, safety, and well-being of research participants.
  • To ensure compliance with SOPs and local security guidelines.
  • To perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as well as occasionally supporting with the development of clinical content for online delivery.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in psychology, or a related discipline
  • Experience in recruiting, retaining and following up participants for research trials.
  • Experience in the collection and management of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and experience working directly with participants and (ideally) clinicians.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting documentation to ethical approval bodies (ideally within the NHS)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (for ethics applications, publications, dissemination)
  • Ability to self-manage, seek support appropriately and multi- task.
  • Good working knowledge of statistics and statistical software such as SPSS or R
  • Experience and knowledge in research methodologies and trial design.

Desirable:

  • Previous research experience in clinical trials
  • Interest and experience with the administration and/or use of online delivered interventions for mental and behavioral health problems.
  • Working knowledge of common clinical presentations and therapeutic approaches, particularly CBT
  • Some experience of clinical settings and of delivery of mental health interventions
