Brief Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) Engineer to enhance our test automation initiatives for Platform Engineering. As a Sr. SDET Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing comprehensive automation testing strategies, collaborating with QA professionals, and ensuring the overall quality, reliability, and security of our Converge Platform.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of QA strategies.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to align QA efforts with overall project goals and milestones.
  • Mentor and guide nearshore QA teams, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the creation of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Direct the execution of test plans, ensuring thorough coverage of functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards in all testing activities.
  • Define, implement, and/or enhance existing automation strategies to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Evaluate and adopt appropriate automation tools and frameworks, such as Cypress, Playwright (Java/JavaScript), and Rest-Assured for API testing.
  • Champion the use of automated testing and reusable test frameworks to accelerate release cycles and improve product quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with development, product management, and other stakeholders to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicate QA progress, challenges, and results to project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between nearshore and onshore teams.
  • Implement and champion best practices in test automation processes and methodologies, driving continuous improvement within the QA team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies to enhance QA capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to optimize QA efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of critical issues, working closely with the development team.
  • Escalate issues as needed, providing clear and well-documented information to facilitate swift resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sr. SDET Engineer, with a strong background in full-stack test automation.
  • Experience collaborating with and mentoring nearshore QA teams.
  • Expertise in test planning, execution, and automation.
  • Proficiency with automation tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright (Java/JavaScript), and Rest-Assured for API testing.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of test automation best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Experience with platform engineering and large-scale system integration.
  • Performance Testing using Gatling/JMeter is a plus.
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing.
  • Knowledge of agile and DevOps methodologies.
