Brief Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer will be a key member of our Engineering team, driving the use of real-time data for informed organizational decisions and exploring innovative approaches to leverage data from the Amwell platform.

Core Responsibilities:

• Pulling data to develop recurring or one-time reports.
• Building dashboards for sales or managers to visualize results.
• Maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and other data analysis tools.
• Identifying and rectifying errors in reports.
• Training others in report creation and usage.
• Conceptualizing and implementing infrastructure for big data access and analysis.
• Refactoring existing frameworks for optimization.
• Testing data structures for usability and performance.
• Staying updated with industry standards and technological advancements to enhance output quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Proven experience as a data engineer or software developer.
• 5+ years of development experience building data pipelines.
• Expertise in SQL and cloud data warehouse platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience working within an agile development process (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with CI/CD concepts.
• Proficiency in BI tools.
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms is beyond the mentioned ones.
