A little about the role
You will be at the centre of all things Hubli! You are an integral part of the operation and will enhance and develop your skills and experience quickly. As a fast paced, rapidly growing business, our responsibilities and priorities shift so that we can move and react to changing requirements, we are also passionate users and developers of technology. 1) The owner and driver of the finance function, you will bring your professional qualifications and experience to the forefront in the role, as you manage all aspects of the finance function and financial reporting of the business.
2) Super organised and flexible to move with us, whilst ensuring rigorous process and procedures are implemented to support, regulate, and measure these changes.

Head of Finance
- Full ownership of the financial function of the business.
- Responsible for production of management accounts on a monthly basis.
- Board reporting, lead role in preparation and presentation of financial aspects of bi-monthly board report to include preparation of multi-year forecast.
- Financial reporting and audit cycle to be managed from start to finish.
- Cashflow management and forecasting, Day to day management of the cashflow of the business, requiring full understanding of credit control, key invoicing, and significant payments.
- Manage and build out the team supporting the finance function, adequately growing the group as the company expands.
- Implement finance operational efficiencies and spot opportunities to embrace technology, in particular to streamline payment solutions and supplier management.
- Preparation of monthly payroll using Thesaurus payroll system, supporting the online payment process using Stripe
- Contribute to new investment rounds. Managing cap tables, investment legals and stakeholders
- Filing monthly returns with Revenue, Scanning and filing financial statements
- Working with clients and suppliers maintaining excellent relationships with each on behalf of the company
Experience and Attributes
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA
- Have 3+ years’ of PQE with solid foundation in audit and financial reporting. Prior experience in a finance manager role or support role beneficial also.
- Recent experience working in a high paced, online transactional environment would be an advantage.
- A strong strategic planning mindset is required, with the ability to quickly understand the drivers of growth for the business and express these drivers through detailed financial forecasts.
- Attention-to-detail. You pay attention to the details and are known to measure twice and cut once. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
- Proficient user of technology and different applications and platforms. Current accounting software is Xero and Thesaurus is used for Payroll.
- You will have excellent handle on the old school Systems - MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
- The ability to use your network. If you don’t know the answer, you will be motivated to find it, no obstacle will stop you from your quest to build your knowledge.
- Some prior knowledge of managing investment processes, cap tables and shareholder engagement would be helpful for the role.
- The motivation to learn and constantly improve and identify and volunteer for new challenges.
- Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines. The ability to update stakeholders and share your progress, KPI’s and metrics.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills required, including good time management skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
