Role Summary

Cubic is renowned for providing connectivity solutions for high-value mobile assets, drawing from its extensive experience in the automotive sector. With recent accomplishments in value-added services, there's an exciting opportunity to lead a new innovative product line. This venture is supported by dedicated investment, offering the chance for full end-to-end profit and loss ownership. We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Senior Product Manager to lead our Home Streaming business line, liaising with domain-focused product teams in both software-development and connectivity.

In the role of Senior Product Manager for Home Streaming, you will have dual responsibilities in product management and product marketing. We believe that the individual who contributes to the creation of a product is best suited to communicate its significance to both customers and developers.

Your duties will encompass gathering customer feedback, analyzing market trends, staying informed about competitors, contributing to sales target setting, and assessing go-to-market traction and performance. You will collaborate closely with teams across Software Engineering, Connectivity, Product, Data, and the Commercial Business to shape and implement future features and product improvements. Furthermore, you will play a key role in positioning and messaging the product in the market, serving as a primary advocate. This involves working alongside Cubic's marketing team. Success in this position hinges on your ability to innovate, successfully launch products to market, manage cross-functional teams effectively, and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.

  • Collaborate within a global cross-functional team, including Engineering, Marketing, the Commercial Business, and others, throughout the entire product development and launch process.
  • Analyse the competitive landscape, explore market trends, and interpret customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and problem-solving. Assess new technologies and provide recommendations for potential incorporation into future products.
  • Gather worldwide customer, developer, and channel requirements for upcoming product development and exert influence over the product roadmap and priorities, handling trade-offs concerning features, schedule, and positioning.
  • Develop business cases for future investment strategies within the product line.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Connectivity, Data, the Commercial Business, and other cross-functional stakeholders during product development. As the product champion, provide feedback on feature benefits and user experience to align with storytelling objectives.
  • Foster collaboration with Product Marketing, Marketing, and the Commercial Business, as well as a diverse group of other Cubic employees, to effectively launch new products and updates.
  • Establish product positioning and key messaging. Lead all outbound marketing efforts, including product documentation, keynote presentations, marketing materials, web content, sales training materials, user support, and other product information to ensure consistent and clear positioning and messaging.
  • Take ownership of, monitor, and closely manage the measurement of product Go-To-Market and in-life performance through KPIs (financial and non-financial).
