The Role

Cubic is a leader in providing connectivity to high value mobile assets. To support Cubic Telecom's business, the Cubic Telecom Technology Department have built a state-of-the-art platform and core network which supports our customers across the globe. The Connectivity Product Manager is an exciting opportunity to lead an evolution in the connectivity product. Cubic Telecom is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team to manage technology products across Access (e.g. Mobile, Satellite), Core Network and SIM Solutions.

As a Product Manager in the Connectivity domain you will hold dual product management and product owner responsibilities. You'll be responsible for requirements elicitation, roadmap and backlog management, market trends, customer feedback and go-to-market traction & performance. You'll work closely with other Product Managers and Product Owners, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, SIM Engineering, Wholesale, Data & the Commercial Business to define and develop future features and product enhancements.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Product Manager/Owner to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, to work with the deployment of cutting-edge IoT technologies in the automotive and agriculture connectivity spaces, and to gain insight into all aspects of the Cubic business.

Description

  • Collaborate with Wholesale, Network Engineering, SIM Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, the Commercial Business and other cross functional stakeholders during the planning and development phases of the product. As the product champion, provide feedback on feature benefits and end user experience to align with storytelling goals.
  • Perform gatekeeping responsibilities on all potential features for the Connectivity Teams
  • Research the competitive landscape, investigate market trends, and understand customer feedback to find opportunities to innovate and solve problems. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to pursue in future products.
  • Collect global customer, developer, and channel requirements for future product development and influence product roadmap and priorities, managing trade-offs involving features, schedule, and positioning.
  • Manage Engineering backlogs along with Connectivity Solutions Architecture Board
  • Own, monitor and closely manage measurement of product Go-To-Market and in-life performance through KPIs (financial and non-financial)
  • 4+ years in product management, product owner, or relevant industry experience. Preferred experience in IoT Connectivity (Cellular) products, Network Engineering or SIM Solutions
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including other product teams, engineering, commercial business, PR, marketing, legal, and regulatory teams to define and launch compelling offerings for customers.
  • Experience in driving commercial performance of a product in the market.
  • Experience in partner strategy & engagement.
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in advocating to upper management and external groups.
  • Deep experience formulating product messaging and creating external facing marketing including keynote presentations and material.
  • Leadership experience desirable
