The Role

We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives working in a fast-paced, highly flexible environment.

The Product Manager role demands a great deal of collaboration with numerous departments in the business. The PM works cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, design, sales, and other departments to develop strong relationships that allow for the smooth and efficient flow of product activities. The PM will concentrate on strategic and tactical planning of solutions and their end-to-end lifecycle management from initial implementation to in-life service management.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Interface with customer, driving collaboration between the other core account functions (Sales, Technical Presales/Bid Management, Technical Account Management, Support/Service Delivery Management), Product & Engineering teams, and customer teams, planning and supporting major customer initiatives
  • Working closely with Account Managers/Business Developers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Delivery Teams and directly with clients proposing product-based solution designs to meet client needs.
  • Maintain expert understanding of Cubic’s products and solutions as well as all underlying enabling technologies across at least IT and wireless
  • Serve as external product consultant educating clients, Evangelize, together with Sales/Technical Presales, Cubic products and services and influence customers for adopting them
  • Develop & maintain deep insights into customer’s goals and challenges and related milestones or roadmap.
  • Carefully listen to customer requirements and discover customer unspoken needs
  • Detail out scope documents with functional & non-functional requirements and with enough details (e.g. context diagrams, process flows,…) to limit ambiguity on what needs to be built
  • Ensure that proposed engineering architectures and designs fulfil Cubic products and customer solution objectives
  • Drive prioritization of customer requirements
  • Conduct product gap analysis of customer requirements
  • Respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs
  • Communicate prospect and customer needs and product feedback to product management, marketing, and sales
  • Responsible for Backlog planning with the relevant Product Managers and Product Owners
  • Ensure Productization of customer requirements through strong collaboration with Product Management functions.

Basic Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years in Product Management, enterprise Solution Engineering or Solution Consulting experience in a SaaS organization or working with customers in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role.
  • Ability to define system's specifications based on a client's requirements and create documentation for Solution design
  • Self-driven, highly motivated, and able to learn quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment
  • Have a strong technical background across Cubic’s technology domains as well as customer product & technology domains
  • Strong listening skills, proven ability to ask effective questions and champion the voice of the customer
  • Solution oriented with ability to generalise customer requirements into product requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.

  • Modern product management practices, e.g., customer and product discovery, Agile, Lean Enterprise
  • Software development and SaaS best practices
  • Data management and analytics methodologies, tools and architectures
  • Microservice architecture and Cloud Native technologies
  • IoT technology stake
  • Wireless networks; GSM, LTE, 5G
