The Role

To support Cubic Telecom's business, the Cubic Telecom Technology Department have built a state-of-the-art platform and core network which supports our customers across the globe.

Due to large subscriber base growth, with associated requirements for increased capacity for all our services in addition the introduction of leading-edge technologies, Cubic Telecom is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team to manage Network, SIM and Data projects.

In this role, the Technical Project Manager will primarily focus on delivery of connectivity (mobile telecoms and sim), data, infrastructure and customer-facing projects. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with network, telecoms and sim engineering teams and will preferably have experience working with Kanban methodology. Ideally, the candidate will have previous connectivity project management experience.

The role offers great opportunities to work with other teams in Cubic – software engineering, wholesale, regulatory, pre-sales.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced technical project manager to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, to work with the deployment of cutting-edge IoT technologies in the automotive and agriculture connectivity spaces, and to gain insight into all aspects of the Cubic business.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include

• Enabling the Technology department to successfully execute its mid to long-term strategy by leading technical projects including:
  • Facilitating scope definition, task breakdown and efforts estimations with engineering teams.
  • monitoring and controlling project timelines, quality, and budget.
  • removing blockers for engineering teams.
  • ensuring thorough projects closure with no technical debt
• Working with existing Technology TPM team to improve overall team project management practises, program reporting and resource and roadmap planning within Cubic.
• Leading third party vendor/customer engagement from a project perspective.
• Lead cross-functional engagement within Cubic.
