About the Role

As a People Ops Generalist you will play a vital role in supporting our people strategy as we continue to grow and make a significant impact in the public transport sector. In this role, you will manage our HR operations, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure alignment with our values of collaboration, sustainability, and innovation. This is a very dynamic role where you will gain vast HR experience across the full employee lifecycle. You will have a huge opportunity to improve how we do things and not just conform.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, performance management, goal setting, and compliance.
  • Utilise HiBob our HR Information Systems (HRIS), and Greenhouse our Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to streamline HR processes.
  • Analyse HR data and metrics to drive decision-making, focusing on employee turnover rates, recruitment efficiency, and engagement scores.
  • Collaborate with management to implement HR initiatives that align with organisational goals.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects our core values: shared vision, integrity, customer-centricity, and a commitment to equity and well-being.
  • Play a pivotal role in promoting diversity and inclusion throughout recruitment and retention practices.
  • Manage multiple HR projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee well-being initiatives and mental health resources.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employees’ inquiries, concerns and provide timely and effective resolutions.
  • Support the Finance Department on payroll and benefit administration.

Key skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships at all levels.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex workforce challenges.
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems. We use HiBob and Greenhouse but prior experience with these systems isn’t required.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and familiarity with office management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
